The Rev. Nan Morgan Adams was installed as the pastor of Providence on the day of chartering, April 28, 2019. She had served as called pastor to Memorial Presbyterian Church since January 2015 and then also as stated supply pastor for Westminster Presbyterian Church beginning in 2017.
Nan came to Memorial Presbyterian in with 22 years experience in the ministry beginning with work in the inner city of Atlanta, followed by 12 years as the organizing pastor for a new church development in Navarre, Florida. Then, Nan served as the Interim Associate Pastor for Trinity Presbyterian in Pensacola, Florida, before finding her way north for a four-year, two-position interim in First Presbyterian, Elkhart, Indiana. Nan has been a certified labyrinth facilitator since 2002.
Nan is a native of Florida, seven generations on both her parent’s sides, in the Tallahassee and Pensacola regions of the state. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree in journalism (though an FSU fan!) and Columbia Theological Seminary for her masters of divinity. She has a daughter, Morgan, married to Greg Tredo, two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Chloe, and a granddog, Jacks, all living in Daytona Beach, Florida.
