Rev. Nan Morgan Adams came to Memorial Presbyterian in 2016 with 22 years experience in the ministry beginning with work in the inner city of Atlanta, followed by 12 years as the organizing pastor for a new church development in Navarre, Florida. Then Nan served as the Interim Associate Pastor for Trinity Presbyterian in Pensacola, FL, before finding her way north for a four-year, two-position interim at First Presbyterian in Elkhart, IN. She became the pastor of Providence on the day of our chartering, April 28, 2019.
Nan is a native of Florida, seven generations on both her parent’s sides, in the Tallahassee and Pensacola regions of the state. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree in journalism (though an FSU fan!) and Columbia Theological Seminary for her masters of divinity.
Nan is an avid reader of historical mysteries, a liturgical quilter, a Southern cook (grits, blue-cheese dressing, and hand-made caramels being among her specialties), a photographer, a wanna-be golfer and tennis player, and a mom of one daughter, Morgan, and two cats, Humphrey and Winston. Morgan married Greg Tredo in March 2013 and they live in Daytona Beach, FL, with their two girls, Mackenzie and Chloe, and Nan’s grand-dog, Jacks.
